Just reread Tasha Suri's Books of Ambha duology of high fantasy novels and remembered how very much I enjoyed the rich world and especially the main character of the first book. Highly recommend!

Oh nice! I haven't read anything of hers outside "The Burning Kingdoms" trilogy, so it would be fun to see some of her other stuff!

Have you ever read Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro? It's sort of "literary" SF (my library doesn't even shelve it with the SF) but it's a masterclass in nonhuman POV and I think you might like it.

I haven't but it sounds interesting! I have read "Never Let Me Go" by Ishiguro and I liked that, so I will definitely give this on a look.
